1. The Nigerian President Mahhamadu Buhari on Friday expressed sympathetic sorrow with the family of the late Sen. Mustafah Bukar, who passed on (died) on Wednesday in Abuja. The late Senator represented Katsina North Senatorial District. Buhari who arrived the residence of the late senator at 6:00 pm on Friday, said the deceased was his very close ally who was honest, humble and dedicated.
2. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders in Osun, under the aegis of Ex-PDP Political Office Holders, have condemned the burning of the party’s flags in Osogbo allegedly by Sen. Iyiola Omisore’s supporters. The party, at a news conference in Osogbo on Friday, said they were saddened and disappointed by the action of Omisore, who they accused of supervising the burning of the the flag.
